Amari Cooper is no longer a Dallas Cowboy, and it is still taking some fans time to process that the once-star Cowboys receiver is now a Cleveland Brown.

The Cowboys parted ways with Cooper after a rather underwhelming season amid frustrations from the receiver that he was not getting enough targets. He now finds himself in the AFC with Baker Mayfield as his quarterback.

Given Mayfield's history with Odell Beckham Jr., fans have been quick to jump on the fact that the 27-year-old wideout is going to be in for a tough time. One fan posted in response to the trade, writing:

"Prayers up for Amari Cooper. Playing with Baker Mayfield is gonna be no jk."

Plenty of other NFL fans have come out of the woodwork and have posted several responses to the trade. One went as far as saying that if Cooper thought playing with Derek Carr and Dak Prescott was bad, wait until he plays with Mayfield.

One fan posted that the former Cowboys receiver will run routes only to see the ball fly over his head. Seemingly poking fun at Mayfield's consistently poor throws.

Another fan posted that the 27-year-old will not be running routes at 100% ever again, joking about Mayfield's poor accuracy.

A Browns fan even commented, saying that they do not want to see the former Cowboys receiver punished by playing for their team.

Another account posted, writing that they are offering up prayers for the former Alabama receiver as he has to play with Baker Mayfield.

One account responded by writing that Cooper's dad will make a video to get him away from Cleveland, in a similar fashion to what Odell Beckham's father did last season.

The tweets kept coming, with one fan saying that the former Cowboys receiver already checks out of games if he isn't involved. Now he has to deal with Mayfield throwing him the ball, and that likely won't improve the issue.

One fan posted a video of two people running a slant route. The receiver gets wide open only for the throw to be incredibly inaccurate, poking fun at Mayfield's poor passing.

Another fan posted that they feel sorry for the recently traded receiver as Mayfield will inevitably be injured again next season.

Could Cooper work in Cleveland?

Cooper certainly could work in Cleveland. He has all the skills needed to thrive with Baker Mayfield. Sometimes a change is as good as a holiday and it may benefit both parties to have someone of the Alabama star's stature and the fact that he doesn't rock the boat.

His route runs are among the best in the league and he has great hands to match. After Beckham Jr. failed in Cleveland, it is now the 27-year-old's turn to try and bring the glory days back to the Browns.

Will he be a success with the AFC team? Only time will tell.
