Fred Warner #54 of the San Francisco 49ers celebrates with teammates after an interception against the Dallas Cowboys during the second quarter of the game in the NFC Divisional Playoff game at Levi's Stadium on January 22, 2023 in Santa Clara, California.

The San Francisco 49ers are the envy of many NFL teams. The 49ers lost not one but two starting-caliber quarterbacks during the 2022 regular season, and they still have a Conference Championship game to look forward to. The 49ers' have a bright future, and Kyle Shanahan is the man for the job.

However, the San Francisco 49ers still have a dilemma to maneuver, as they will be losing many players to free agency. Here, we will give you a rundown on the players, suggest one that should be re-signed, and we will look into the side's performance in the 2022 regular season.

Who Will the San Francisco 49ers Lose in the NFL Offseason?

Like all 32 franchises in the NFL, the San Francisco 49ers will be tasked with releasing or re-signing several free agents. They are:

Unrestricted free agents

2. S Jimmie Ward

3. WR River Cracraft

4. DE Samson Ebukam

2022 salary: $5,900,000

5. CB Emmanuel Moseley

6. OT Mike McGlinchey

7. LB Azeez Al-Shaair

8. K Robbie Gould

9. OT Daniel Brunskill

23. LB Demetrius Flannigan-Fowles

24. DT Kevin Givens

25. OT Colton McKivitz

The above 25 has played a part in the San Francisco 49ers' success over the past few seasons. Some of them more than others, but they deserve a fitting send-off if they are released after the expiration of their contracts.

There is no better way to part ways with a team than after being crowned Super Bowl champions. The apparatus is already in motion, and the 49ers are two wins away from ultimate glory.

A Player that the San Francisco 49ers should re-sign

The San Francisco 49ers have players in just about every position that are up for free agency. However, to us, it is the player in the least heralded position that they must retain. That player is Robbie Gould, and despite his age, the 49ers should resign him for a year or two.

The NFL has a placekicker problem, as even the most reliable kickers have yips. Look at Brett Maher and how he seems to be a laughing stock. Hence, due to the scarcity of proven kickers, it won't be smart for the 49ers to let their's walk. Robbie Gould might be 40 years old, but he's still arguably a top-five kicker in the NFL. Re-signing him might be a masterstroke over time, but we can't say the same if the 49ers release him.

How are the San Francisco 49ers performing this season?

The 49ers had a phenomenal 2023 NFL regular season and have so far exceeded expectations. The 49ers have seen their stars step up, their role players understand their assignments, and their coach earn a coach of the year nomination.

They accumulated a solid 13-4 record and haven't lost a football game since Week 7. What's more, next for them is a Conference Championship game against the Philadelphia Eagles, and you would be a dork to count them out.
