Xavier Malisse: A Brief Biography

Xavier Malisse is a Belgian Tennis player who also goes by the moniker \"The X-Man\". His career-high singles ranks him at World No. 19, making him the only player from his country to habe been ranked in the top 20 of the ATP tour. Malisse started playing professional tennis in 1998. His best performance in Grand Slam singles competition was at the 2002 Wimbledon championships, where he reached the semifinal, beating Britain\'s Greg Rusedski as well as former champion Richard Krajicek. He won three ATP tour singles titles: Delray Beach in 2005 and 2007, and Chennai in 2007. The years 2008 to 2009 saw Malisse at his lowest. But towards the end of 2009, he perked up just in time to win a challenger tournament in Lyon which put him back on the radar. In 2012, Malisse lost to Roger Federer in the fourth round of Wimbeldon.
