Behavior of Eternatus

Eternatus comes from space and like other alien legendaries, its motives are not well known. It's definitely powerful and will retaliate when attacked and is seen in the anime wandering the skies only being sighted as a large shadowy creature but otherwise, its intentions are not well known.

Strengths and Weaknesses

Eternatus is a dual poison/dragon type, which is a strong type combination. It's strong against seven different types. Eternatus takes half damage from fighting, poison, bug, fire, water, and electric type moves and takes an even lower 25% damage from grass type moves. Though it still has its weaknesses, taking double damage from the ground, psychic, ice, and dragon-type moves. Due to its poison type, it takes normal damage from Fairy-type moves despite its dragon typing.

Eternatus Vmax

Eternatus Vmax is the TCG version of Eternamax Eternatus. Eternatus Vmax is an incredibly powerful card and is even considered broken by some players. Though it is also rare, Eternatus Vmax cards can be sold for up to $20. Eternatus Vmax depicts the Eternamax form of Eternatus and some rarer versions of the card depict it in a black and gold silhouette form.

Eternamax Eternatus

Eternamax Eternatus is the ultimate form of the Pokemon. Like the Dynamax form of some Pokemon, Eternamax Eternatus is a massive, alternate design of the Pokemon. Eternamax Eternatus is a huge coiled worm creature that has its body spun in a circle around the core its normal form had in its chest. This form of the Pokemon is unbelievably powerful and Eternamax Eternatus is said to emit infinite power and punch holes in spacetime around it due to its sheer energy.

Shiny Eternatus

The rare Shiny Eternatus form is an interesting color choice. While difficult to obtain, it is possible to legitimately obtain a Shiny Eternatus in Sword and Shield, which isn’t common among legendary and mythical Pokemon. Shiny Eternatus is almost completely red and is far more saturated in its colors than its normal form. It appears as if Shiny Eternatus takes its colors from the core in its chest and expands them to be all over the body.

How to Catch Eternatus in Pokemon Go

Eternatus is not available in Pokemon Go and doesn’t yet appear in the game files like some other unadded Pokemon. However, when it does get added it will likely be like other legendaries. It could be obtained through a raid though it's more likely to have a special research event similar to Mew due to its sheer power and unique origins.

Trivia

Eternatus’ Eternamax form is still capable of using Max moves despite it not technically being a Dynamax form.

Eternatus is also the only poison type legendary, discounting the alternate legendary forms of Pokemon like Arceus holding a Toxic Plate and Silvally holding a Poison Memory.

Eternatus has a base stat total of 690, which it shares with no other Pokemon. Nice.
