Appearance

Maractus is a small Pokemon that resembles a cactus with long, extended ears that have dark green, spiky arrangements at their base. They also have yellow spikes further up alongside pink and yellow flowers at the top. It has dark green accents on each of its limbs with dark spiky arrangements on its hands, neck while the base features five spikes.

Behavior

When Maractus dances rhythmically it emits a sound similar to that of maracas. It uses this to create up-tempo dances and songs to scare away potential predators. Some bird Pokemon try to take its flower seeds for food. Maractus typically lives in dry areas, especially deserts.

Strengths and Weaknesses

As a Grass type Pokémon, Maractus is weak against Flying, Poison, Bug, Fire and Ice type moves and will take twice the normal damage from them. It has no immunities to any moves but is resistant to Ground, Water, Grass and Electric types, which will do half the damage. There is no advantage or disadvantage with Normal, Dragon, Flying, Dark, Ghost, Rock, Fairy, Psychic and Steel types.

Best moveset (Maractus)

Maractus has a lot of strong moves including Petal Dance, which is a move that has 120 power and 100% accuracy. Here are Maractus’s best moves: Petal Dance lasts two to three turns and confuses the target after, Wood Hammer has 33% recoil while Secret Power has varying effects based on the terrain and has a 30% chance to paralyze the target. Bounce, on the other hand, leaps into the air on turn one and hits on turn 2, with a 30% chance to paralyze the target.

How to catch Maractus in Pokemon Go?

Maractus is a very rare Pokemon Go addition as it is region specific and thus only North American players can get it. Additionally, it has been only seen in special events, so it’s not available at any time or location. There is no evolved or unevolved form, either, which makes one hard to come by.
