Pokemon GO Sustainability Week 2024: Schedule, event bonuses, Collection Challenge, and more

Pokemon GO Sustainability Week 2024 sees a handful of Buddy Pokemon event bonuses, wild encounters, and a Collection Challenge for trainers to enjoy. It marks the second-last event in the Pokemon April 2024 Infographic, with Cleffa Hatch Day on April 28 being the remaining one.

Pokemon GO Sustainability Week 2024 schedule

The event runs from Monday, April 22, 2024, at 10 am local time to Friday, April 26, 2024, at 8 pm local time.


Pokemon GO Sustainability Week 2024 event bonuses

The event bonuses are as follows:

  • Increased frequency of Buddy Pokémon bringing you Souvenirs and presents.
  • Your buddy will spend more time on the map after being fed Berries or Poffins.
  • The distance to earn buddy hearts will be halved.
  • Pokémon hatched in 2 km Eggs obtained during this event will have a greater chance of being a Shiny Pokémon than when found in the wild or via Field Research. Following Pokemon will be available 2 km egg hatch: Combee, Drilbur, Trubish, Foongus, Binacle.

Pokemon GO Sustainability Week 2024 Collection Challenge and Field Research encounters

An event-themed Sustainability Week Collection Challenge is available for players to complete. They can also complete Field Research tasks for the following pocket monster encounters:

  • Binacle [shiny encounter available]
  • Foongus [shiny encounter available]
  • Trubbish [shiny encounter available]
  • Drilbur [shiny encounter available]
  • Combee [shiny encounter available]

The Pokemon GO community is currently upset with the latest avatar update and what they consider visually a step back in character customization. Players have also accused Niantic of hiding App Store reviews reflecting the backlash.
