Pokemon GO’s Sustainability Week 2024 event is here, and you should not miss out on it. You can participate in this event from Monday, April 22, 2024, at 10 am local time, through Friday, April 26, 2024, at 8 pm local time. This is a great event to level up your Buddy Pokemon, which makes it a fun one to play in.

You will get the following bonuses during the Sustainability Week 2024 event:

Your Buddy Pokemon will find and get souvenirs more often as you play the game.
Feeding Berries and Poffins to your Buddy Pokemon will let them stay for a longer duration on the map.
You will enjoy a 0.5x distance bonus to earn hearts with your Buddy Pokemon.

How to prepare for Sustainability Week 2024 event in Pokemon GO

Since all the bonuses of this event are Buddy-focused, it is advisable to work on your Best Buddies, especially if you need to get 10 Best Buddies for the Wish Granted Masterwork Research.

You can typically feed your Buddy Berries to make it stay on the map for three hours, and the monster will accompany you for six hours if you feed it a Poffin. During the Sustainability Week 2024 event, these durations will be extended, so the Buddy Pokemon will accompany you for a longer period on the map.

You can get your Buddy in an Excited state to earn more hearts. One way of doing so is to feed it Poffins. If you don’t have Poffins, you can interact with your Buddy in short bursts to earn hearts. This will also get it Excited and let you earn more hearts.

Since there are no XP or Stardust bonuses during this event, you can use Lucky Eggs and Star Pieces to get more XP and Stardust while playing during the Sustainability Week 2024 event in Pokemon GO. Combee, Trubbish, and Foongus will spawn during this event. They are Stardust-boosted monsters and will give you 750 Stardust without any premium items.

What are the benefits of having Best Buddy Pokemon?

Your Best Buddy will also fetch souvenirs for you containing basic items. You will get an extra heart under the Bonus category when you receive a souvenir from your Best Buddy.

Getting the Best Buddy status will reward your Pokemon with a Best Buddy Ribbon that you can show off to your friends in the game. This monster will also get a CP boost when it is your active Buddy.

Best Pokemon to catch during the Sustainability Week 2024 event in Pokemon GO

You should focus on the following wild spawns during this GO event:

Combee, Trubbish, and Foongus: As mentioned above, these monsters are Stardust-boosted and will offer you 750 Stardust without a Star Piece.
Drilbur: This Pokemon evolves into Excadrill, which is a strong Ground and Steel-type attacker.
