1) Aerodactyl ex

  • HP: 140
  • Ability: Primeval Law - Prevents opponents from evolving their Active Pokemon while Aerodactyl ex is on the bench.
  • Move: Land Crush
  • Damage: 80
  • Energy Requirement: 1 Fighting + 1 Colorless
  • Retreat Cost: 1 Colorless

Aerodactyl ex’s Primeval Law disrupts your opponent’s strategy by halting evolutions, which makes it ideal for slowing down decks reliant on stage evolution. Additionally, its Land Crush attack delivers consistent damage at a low energy cost, making it a versatile attacker. With only a single retreat cost, Aerodactyl ex is both agile and powerful.

2) Lucario

Lucario's Fighting Coach ability boosts the damage output of the active Pokemon. What's great about this ability is that it stacks. So when one Lucario is on the bench Aerodactyl ex’s damage becomes 100. This stacks to 120 damage when there are two Lucario on the bench.

3) Hitmonlee and Hitmonchan

Both Hitmonlee and Hitmonchan from Genetic Apex are great early-game walls. Not only do they have decent bulk to buy you enough time to set up Aerodactyl ex, but they also have a good moveset to apply pressure. Hitmonchan does 30 damage while Hitmonlee does 30 damage to a benched Pokemon, both for a single Fighting Energy.

Keep in mind that only Hitmonchan receives the damage boost from Lucario and not Hitmonlee

Strategy

The Aerodactyl ex deck focuses on a straightforward, rock-solid strategy that relies on consistency and disruption:

  • Set up quickly: You need Old Amber to evolve it into an Aerodactyl ex. Professor's Research help ensure you draw the right cards to build momentum.
  • Control the game with Primeval Law: Aerodactyl ex’s ability ensures that your opponent’s Active Pokemon cannot evolve, slowing down their strategy and allowing you to take control of the board.
  • Utilize Lucario for aggressive support: Try to set up Lucario as soon as possible to provide damage boost to everyone in the deck, except Hitmonlee. Use Pokeball to prepare your bench.
  • Leverage Hitmonlee and Hitmonchan for early pressure: Make sure to play one of these first in your Active spot.
  • Sustain your board: Use Pokemon Center Lady to heal your Pokemon and Leaf to retrieve crucial cards from your active spot. Sabrina and Red provide additional flexibility, which helps you adapt to different matchups.

So, regardless of whether you’re a seasoned player or a newcomer, this deck provides a fun and strategic way to dominate your matches.
