Jimmy Walker & Jalen Rose

During 1970s, Jimmy Walker averaged 16.7 points and 3.5 assists during his nine-year career and played two NBA All-Star games. His son Jalen Rose part of Michigan’s fab five had an equally successful career in the NBA. However, Jalen Rose would be always remembered as a part of fab 5 from Michigan that included Chris Webber and Juwan Howard.

They are the first father-son combination in which each player has scored 10,000 NBA points. Rose, the Most Improved Player in 2000 had a great run with the Pacers during the early 2000s. He played in the NBA finals and averaged 20 points in that period alongside Reggie Miller. The team eventually lost to the Lakers in the finals.

Jalen Rose averaged 14.3 points, 3.8 assists and 3.5 rebounds. His dad, a guard in the '60s and '70s mostly with Detroit and Kansas City, scored 11,655 points. Unlike the other duos in the list, Rose did not grow up with his dad. Walker was his biological father but he did not raise Rose. Nevertheless, Rose had a good NBA career and he is presently the ambassador for the retired NBA players union.
