The Dallas Cowboys have one goal, according to star running back Ezekiel Elliott.

Dallas will face the Rams in Los Angeles on Saturday after topping the Seahawks in the wild-card round.

Elliott rushed for 137 yards and a touchdown against Seattle but said he does not focus on his individual performance, especially in the playoffs.

"Stats – I don't think they really matter," Elliott told reporters on Tuesday. "The regular season is over, it's a whole different ball game. This is playoff football. I think all that stuff gets thrown out the window."

The Rams also feature a star ball carrier in Todd Gurley, who missed the last two games of the regular season because of a knee injury.

But, he is expected to return for the matchup with the Cowboys.

"He's just a guy who has a really well-rounded game and doesn't really have any weaknesses," Elliott said about Gurley. "I think we both go in with the same mindset – playoff football, it's about the team. It's not really about individuals. It's about trying to go get that Super Bowl.

"Yes, it's going to be great facing off against him, but I'm not going to put too much emphasis on that."

A victory over Los Angeles would put the Cowboys in the NFC Championship Game for the first time since 1995.

Elliott, however, said the team have bigger goals than just playing for the conference title.

"It would mean a lot, just to accomplish that, especially here with the Dallas Cowboys, a prestigious organisation," Elliott said, via the Dallas Morning News. "But our goal is not to get back to the NFC Championship. It's to get to the Super Bowl and win."

Elliott finished 2018 with 1,434 yards on the ground and six scores. He also added three receiving touchdowns.
