Marshawn Lynch in talks with Seahawks about Seattle return
- What does the future hold for free agent Marshawn Lynch? A Seattle Seahawks comeback is on the cards.
Marshawn Lynch said his agent has been in talks with the Seattle Seahawks about a potential return.
Lynch came out of retirement to re-join the Seahawks in December – prior to week 17 of last season – playing three games for Seattle en route to the NFC Divisional round.
A Super Bowl champion with the Seahawks in 2013, running back Lynch – who first signed for Seattle from the Buffalo Bills in 2010 – is now a free agent.
Asked about his future on Monday, the 34-year-old told ESPN: "Well, it's almost on that 'expect the unexpected.
"But just as far as right now, what I do know is, I'm'a keep it solid. My agent [Doug Hendrickson] has been in talks with Seattle, so like I said, we'll see what happens.
"If it works out and I get back up there, it is what it is. And if not, s***, I'm lookin' good. So I ain't really trippin' too much."
Lynch returned to Seattle last season following injuries to starter Chris Carson and back-up C.J. Prosise.
The five-time Pro Bowler made one regular-season appearance and two in the playoffs, carrying 30 times for 67 yards and four touchdowns.
