Watch: Cole Custer's pit crew member calmly faces fire
This is why they wear firesuits in NASCAR.
Stewart-Haas Racing driver Cole Custer was disappointed with his performance in the Fitzgerald Glider Kits 300 Saturday as he sat on the pole but only managed an eighth-place finish. However, his gasman was slightly more upset after he caught on fire in the pits during the Xfinity Series race at Bristol Motor Speedway.

During a stop, flames billowed up around the gasman. His shoe caught on fire as smoke billowed around him.
Surprisingly though, the crew member did not strip down and run up and down the track. He simply kicked his leg like he was removing an unwanted mosquito from his foot, and a safety worker extinguished the flames. He held on to the gas can the entire time, by the way.
The fire was put out in mere seconds. Can't say we would be so calm in such a case.
