Natalya Finisher

Natalya is a Canadian third-generation professional currently signed to WWE. Her full name is Natalie Katherine Neidhart-Wilson and she was born on May 27, 1982. She is the daughter of WWE Hall of Famer Jim Neidhart, one-half of the Hart Foundation alongside Bret ‘The Hitman’ Hart.

Natalya started training professionally for pro wrestling at a young age in the Hart Family Dungeon. In the first years of the 2000s, she trained under her uncles Ross Hart and Bruce Hart before making her debut for Stampede Wrestling in 2003. Stampede was the promotion founded by the patriarch Stu Hart and operated by the Hart Family until it shut down in 2008.

She signed for the WWE in 2007 and spent time in training territories Deep South Wrestling, Ohio Valley Wrestling, and Florida Championship Wrestling. She would also go on to fight on NXT after the brand officially began in 2012. Natalya had made her main roster debut as a member of The Hart Dynasty alongside TJ Wilson and Harry Smith. In 2010, she would go on a solo venture and has never looked back since then.

Natalya is a highly decorated wrestler, having won the WWE Divas Championship, WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship, and WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship during her career. Besides pro wrestling, Natalya has also featured on a lot of episodes of WWE’s Total Divas.

What finisher does Natalya use?

Natalya uses a sharpshooter as her finishing move. She is one of the very few female superstars who use a submission hold as their finisher. The sharpshooter was invented by Japanese wrestler Riki Choksu and brought to the mainstream by the Icon Sting. However, if one is asked to name any wrestler with the Sharpshooter, chances are he will say Bret Hart. The Hitman used Sharpshooter as her finishing move and fans have witnessed the hold being used in some of the most crucial moments of WWE and Pro-Wrestling history.

After Hart had owned the move in fans’ perception, more and more Canadian wrestlers started using it. Particularly, the Hart family took the move as a legacy hold. After making her debut, Natalya, too started using Sharpshooter to make her opponents tap out. Besides the submission hold, Natalya also has Nattie by Nature, which is a spinning lariat.

Natalya holds a total of whopping six records to her name in the Guinness Book of World Records. All these records relate to Natalya’s impressively long career as a female wrestler.

No female wrestler has competed in more PPV matches than Natalya has. Nattie has, to date, competed in a total of 75 matches.

Natalya has competed in more than 1500 matches in WWE History. This includes PPV, Weekly Shows, Live Events, and House Shows. This is the highest count any female wrestler has ever entered the squared circle in WWE.

Most Wins

Besides the most matches, Natalya also holds the record for the most wins in WWE history for a female wrestler. Of the 1514 matches she has competed in, Natalya has won a total of 663 matches. No woman has beaten this record, so far.

Most WWE WrestleMania appearances

Natalya has appeared in eight WrestleMania events, the most by any female wrestler ever on the WWE roster.

Most WWE RAW Matches

Besides the most matches on PPVs and the most matches overall, Natalya is also the female with the most matches on WWE’s Flagship brand. The former Divas Champion has competed in a total of 174 matches on Monday Night RAW.

Most WWE SmackDown Matches

Despite the brand split for most of her career, Natalya has managed to make the most appearances on both WWE RAW and SmackDown. Nattie has competed in a total of 200 matches on Friday Night SmackDown, also the first to reach that figure.
