On August 2007, McIntyre won the IWW International Heavyweight Championship belt at an Irish Whip Wrestling event.
On October 12, 2007, McIntyre made his WWE debut with Dave Taylor against Brett Major and Brian Major and defeated them.
His incredible talents were noticed by the WWE, who signed him to their developmental territory
FCW, in 2007, where he once again wrestled against Sheamus, as well as another future WWE
star, Curtis Axel. In his two-year run at FCW, Drew McIntyre won the FCW Florida Heavyweight
Championship as well as the FCW Florida Tag Team Championship, before being called up to
the main roster, where he was billed by WWE Chairman Vince McMahon, as a "future world
Drew McIntyre was McMahon’s favored Superstar on WWE television, going on to win the
Intercontinental Championship as well as the Tag Team Championship with Cody Rhodes.

McIntyre went back to his roots and wrestled in the indie scene at Insane Championship
Wrestling (ICW), Evolve, House of Glory, and several other indie promotions to build back his

He then wrestled as Drew Galloway at TNA between 2015 and 2017, where he held the Impact
Grand Championship and then the TNA World Heavyweight Championship, before rejoining the
WWE and NXT in 2017.
McIntyre resigned with WWE in early 2017. At NXT TakeOver Brooklyn III, McIntyre successfully defeated Roode and win the NXT Championship. He also defended the title over the next few weeks before losing it to Almas at NXT Takeover WarGames on November 18.
