Markus Lynn Betts or Mookie Betts of Nashville, Tennessee, United States, has been a part of the Los Angeles Dodgers in Major League Baseball (MLB) since 2022. He has also been a member of the Boston Red Sox in the past, with whom he made his MLB debut on June 29, 2014. Notably, the Boston Red Sox made him the #172nd overall pick in the 2011 MLB draft.

Before joining the MLB, Mookie Betts played varsity baseball at John Overton High School. Since making his MLB debut, he has gained several accolades so far like being an eight-time MLB All-Star player and winning three MLB World Series with the Boston Red Sox and the Los Angeles Dodgers.
