Some great legends have played for the 76ers in the past and made their mark while playing for the franchise. The Philadelphia 76ers play in the Eastern Conference, Atlantic Division. The 76ers has won three championships, nine conference titles and 5 division titles.

With Joel Embiid, Ben Simmons, Robert Covington etc., the 76ers are a team filled with of talent. There is no doubt that they will become the title contenders in next one or two years with the skillset that their players have.

The current team lacks in experience but has done decently well in the recently concluded 2017-18 season reaching the post-season after finishing the regular season with a win-record of 52-30. They beat the Miami Heat in the first round and lost to the Boston Celtics in the conference semifinals.

#10 Maurice Cheeks

Maurice Cheeks was selected by the 76ers in the second round as a 36th overall pick but he went on to become one of the greatest defensive guards of all time. He won the NBA title in 1987 with the 76ers. He was part of the NBA All-Star team 4-times. Cheeks was known for his excellent defensive skills and is fifth all-time in steals while also being 11th all-time in assists.

He is the 76ers' franchise leader in assists per game with 7.3. Throughout his career, Cheeks has played for a lot of teams, but he will be remembered for his days with the Sixers.

He averaged 11.1 points, 6.7 assists and 2.1 steals per game. His jersey No. 10 was retired by the Philadelphia 76ers. He is currently an assistant coach for the Oklahoma City Thunder. Cheeks made it to the postseason 10 straight times with Philadelphia and averaged 14.4 points per game in the postseason.

In his rookie playoffs-season, he averaged 4.1 steals per game which speaks about his contribution on the defensive side of the floor. He is third on the list of games played for 76ers franchise.

#9 Chet Walker

Chet Walker spent 7 seasons with the Syracuse Nationals and the Philadelphia 76ers. He was a 7-time All-Star and a Hall of Famer but was not fortunate to win a championship in the NBA.

He played in a total of 13 seasons in the NBA and made it to the post-season each time. He averaged 13.2 points, 7.1 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game. He averaged 18.2 points over his career in both playoffs and regular season.

He was efficient while shooting, and shot 47 percent from the field. He was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2012.

#8 Billy Cunningham

Billy Cunningham played as both small forward and power forward in the NBA and has represented the Sixers in 9 seasons. He won the NBA title in 1967 and was part of the starting lineup along with legends like Wilt and Greer.

He was a 4-time All-Star and 3-time All-NBA First Team selection. He was also successful as the coach of the 76ers. He was popularly known as "The Kangaroo Kid" and averaged 21.2 points, 10.4 rebounds and 4.3 assists per game.

Cunningham was the coach of the Philly team that won the title in 1983. His jersey No. 32 was retired by the Philadelphia 76ers organization.

Moses Malone was a really good center who won the league MVP and also Finals MVP in 1983. However, he only played in 5 seasons representing the 76ers. He played from 1982 to 1986 and then came back for the 1993-94 season with the 76ers.

Malone was a 3-time NBA MVP and a 12-time All-Star (1978 to 1989). He scored and rebounded really well, averaging 20.6 points and 12.2 rebounds per game during his stay in the NBA. He was a 4-time All-NBA First Team selection, 4-time All-NBA Second Team selection, All-Defensive First Team selection (1983) and All-Defensive Second Team selection (1979).

He was a 6-time rebounding leader and also found a place in the NBA's 50th Anniversary All-Time Team.

One of the greatest power forwards to ever play the sport of basketball, Charles Barkley has played in 8 seasons for the 76ers. In his third season playing for Philly, Barkley led the league in rebounds per game with 14.6. He is an 11-time consecutive All-Star and won the All-Star Game MVP in the year 1991.

Playing for the 76ers, Charles Barkley has enjoyed a huge success. He was the rebounding leader in 1987, 5-time All-NBA First Team selection and 5-time All-NBA Second Team selection. He was also a versatile scorer who could easily score 20 points per game.

Barkley has played in the NBA for 16 seasons and averaged a double-double over his career with 22.1 points, 11.7 rebounds and 3.9 assists per game. The Philadelphia 76ers retired his jersey No. 34.

Dolph Schayes was a 12-time All-Star, 6-time All-NBA First Team selection and 6-time All-NBA Second Team selection. He is one of the early superstars of the 76ers franchise. He was a prolific scorer and rebounder and is the franchise leader on the list of total rebounds.

He was part of the team that won the NBA championship in 1955, playing a key role with 18.5 points, 12.3 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game. He played in 996 games during his NBA career and averaged 18.5 points, 12.1 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game.

Dolph Schayes' jersey No. 4 was retired by the 76ers on March 12th, 2016. He was very good, shooting from the free-throw line and shot 84.9 percentage from the free-throw line over his long career.

Hal Greer was a 10-time All-Star who played as a guard for the Syracuse Nationals and its successor franchise, Philadelphia 76ers. He played all 15 seasons in the NBA for the same franchise. He enjoyed good success playing alongside Wilt Chamberlain. In 1966-67 when 76ers won the title, Greer averaged 22.1 points, 5.3 rebounds and 3.8 assists per game.

He averaged 19.2 points, 5.0 rebounds and 4.2 assists per game in his long career in the NBA. Wilt and Greer complemented each other very well and 76ers dominated opponents because of their coordination.

Greer made it to the postseason 13 consecutive times. His jersey No. 15 was retired by the Philadelphia 76ers in 1976. He is the Sixers' franchise leader in the number of games played, number of minutes played, field goals and points.

Wilt Chamberlain is a 13-time All-Star who is the only player to ever score 100 points in an NBA game. He was a 4-time regular season MVP and three of those came up consecutively during his time with the 76ers. Wilt Chamberlain won the Rookie of the year in 1960 and is one of the best centers of all time.

Standing at 7 feet 1 inch, he dominated at the center position every time he touched a basketball. He was a 7-time scoring champion, 11-time rebounding champion and was also the assists leader in 1968. He also won the Finals MVP award in 1972.

Wilt has won two NBA championships. In his 14-year-long career, he has made it into the postseason 13 times, a stat that speaks for his dominance in those days. Wilt is the 76ers franchise leader in points per game, rebounds per game, field goals percentage and minutes played per game. He averaged 30.1 points, 22.9 rebounds and 4.4 assists per game in the NBA. His Jersey No. 13 has been retired by the Philadelphia 76ers.

Allen Iverson is one of the most influential players of all time. The NBA has transcended because of Al. He has represented Philadelphia for 12 seasons in the NBA after being selected by the 76ers in the 1996 NBA draft with a 1st overall pick.

An 11-time All-Star, "The Answer" is known for carrying a mediocre 76ers to the NBA Finals in 2011. Though he could not win the title that year, he did not get swept by the Lakers. That Lakers team is one of the best teams in the NBA history and AI, with a very average team managed to win a game.

Allen Iverson won the MVP award in 2011 after leading the league in points per game with 31.1. He is one of the best pure-scorers to ever play the sport of basketball. He was the scoring champion in four seasons and averaged more than 25 points per game for 9 consecutive seasons.

Allen Iverson is the franchise leader in steals per game and 3-point field goals. Philadelphia 76ers retired his jersey No. 3 on 1st March 2014.

No surprises here. It is Julius Erving who is #1 on this list. Erving, popularly known as "Dr. J" is the only player who has won the MVP award both in ABA and NBA. He was part of the NBA for 11 seasons and played in all those eleven years for the 76ers.

He played a huge part when the 76ers won the title in 1983 and started along with legends like Moses Malone and Maurice Cheeks. He could score, rebound, shoot, defend and pretty much did everything.

He was part of the NBA All-Star Team all the 11 seasons that he has played in the NBA. He won the All-Star MVP award twice in his career. He averaged 24.2 points, 8.5 rebounds, 4.2 assists per game over his career.

Erving is first on the All-Time blocks leaders list of the 76ers franchise. He was inducted into the Hall of Fame in the year 1993 and his jersey No. 6 was retired by the 76ers on April 18, 1988.
