Stat line: 51 points, 9 assists, 3 rebounds on 55.6% shooting (4-of-6 on 3's)
Normally such lists don't have games where the team loses but Harden was phenomenal in this game. The Rockets just happen to be missing few of their key rotation players in Clint Capela and Luc Mbah A Moute. So to a certain extent, Harden was also lifting their load and eventually couldn't register the win.
The young Los Angeles Lakers snapped the Rockets' 14-game win streak (first of the team's 3 10+ games win streaks this season) and it was a time when the Rockets sort of went through a mini-slump, where they lost 5 in a row.
Nonetheless, nothing should be taken away from Harden's individual performance. It's no easy feat putting 50+ points on 55.6% shooting, while also dishing out 9 assists. And they just lost by six points, it wasn't like it was a blowout.
