#3 LeBron James, Anthony Davis and Dennis Schroder (LA Lakers)

The reigning NBA champions, the LA Lakers, got Dennis Schroder from the OKC Thunder in the offseason. Schroder was a strong candidate for the Sixth Man of the Year award last year and has played tremendously as a starter for the LA Lakers so far.

Of course, LeBron James and Anthony Davis are unquestioned players in this trio and would be on this list regardless of who the third player is. James is still one of the greatest players on the planet and is a favorite to win the NBA MVP award for many.

James is averaging 25.5 points, 7.7 rebounds and 7.8 assists per game so far. Davis, on the other hand, is not having the greatest year of his career offensively but is still averaging 22 points and 8.6 rebounds per game while making 53% of his shots. Moreover, AD is a solid contender for the NBA DPOY award.

Schroder is the third-best scorer on the team, with 14 points per night, and is averaging four rebounds and four assists per match.

#4 Giannis Antetokounmpo, Khris Middleton and Jrue Holiday (Milwaukee Bucks)

On paper, the Milwaukee Bucks have a better roster than last season. Though they have not been what they were in the 2019-20 season, their Big Three has the potential to inflict damage on their rivals in the postseason.

Giannis Antetokounmpo is the two-time reigning MVP of the NBA and has been quietly putting his name in that discussion again. He is putting up 27 points, 11 rebounds and six assists per game while making 56% of his shots so far.

Middleton and Holiday have been good for Milwaukee, too. Middleton is averaging 20 points, six rebounds and six assists per game with shooting splits of 52/47/93, while Holiday is at 16/5/5.

#5 Donovan Mitchell, Rudy Gobert and Jordan Clarkson (Utah Jazz)

The Utah Jazz currently have the best record in the NBA at 19-5. Three players have been particularly impressive for them this season.

Donovan Mitchell is the offensive leader in the starting lineup. He is averaging 23 points, four rebounds and five assists per game.

Rudy Gobert is another leader on the team, but his greatest impact comes on the defensive end. The two-time NBA DPOY winner is a great defender who protects the rim at an elite level. He averages 13 points and 13 rebounds per game and is also the leader in Defensive Rating in the entire NBA.

Off the bench, Jordan Clarkson is putting up 17.5 points per night for the Jazz with shooting splits of 46/39/97. He should be a top candidate for the Sixth Man of the Year award, even though it is still early in the campaign.
