Kevin Durant has been in a different echelon compared to other current NBA players apart from a few due to his ability to score from anywhere and over anyone guarding him irrespective of how tough the opponent may be. The slim reaper has gained a reputation for being one of the greatest scorers the game has ever seen with his wide array of skills, his unrivaled shooting capability and deadly mid-range game.

KD is one of those few players gifted with the unique combination of daunting size and elite skills which helps dribble like a guard while shooting past taller players with effortless ease. His scoring exploits have won him four NBA scoring titles and two MVP's in what is already a first-ballot Hall-of-Fame worthy career. Durant has averged an astonishing 27 points over the span of his career despite missing plenty of games owing to injury at different stages of his career.

KD has the chance to lead the Brooklyn Nets to their maiden NBA championship alongside James Harden while terrorizing defenses for yet another season. He currently sits in 31st position on the all-time scorers list and will look to climb into the top 25 with yet another historic scoring season.

#2 Carmelo Anthony

Carmelo Anthony has been one of the deadliest scorers the league has ever seen with his array of moves and impeccable footwork. The 18 year veteran looks to have slowed down as the game progressed but has adapted his game to be a sniper with occasional iso-plays as he thrives in his new role of being a star role-player.

Melo, in his prime, was one of the few players who could be considered unguardable as he hit clutch bucket after clutch bucket in the face of intense pressure. His scoring exploits in the league earned him a 2012-13 scoring title. He would have got more if it wasn't for his long history of injuries.

Carmelo Anthony has the chance to fulfill one of his biggest dreams this season as he teams up with his best friend LeBron James for the L.A. Lakers with the aim of winning an NBA championship. Melo currently sits in 12th on the all-time scorers list with 27370 points and can climb past Shaquille O'Neal and into the top 10.

#1 LeBron James

When his career is done and dusted, LeBron James will go down as one of the greatest players in the league's history, if not the greatest. King James has had the longest peak any superstar has ever had in the game as he remains a top-3 player going into his 19th season.

His unprecedented success as a player is largely due to his ability to adapt both his mind and body to the ever-changing demands of the league. LeBron has been one of the few superstars to keep his body in peak condition throughout his career as he has had very few notable injuries, allowing him to pile on the stats. His athleticism, basketball IQ, size and brute force helps him to dominate on the offensive end as he puts up video-game numbers on a nightly basis.

LeBron is all set for yet another historic season as he looks to guide the Los Angeles Lakers to their 17th NBA championship and his fifth. King James is currently in third on the NBA's all-time points leaderboard and is expected to surpass Utah Jazz legend and Hall-of-Famer Karl Malone in second to inch closer to the top spot occupied by Lakers legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.
