#3 George Gervin - 4 NBA scoring titles

George Gervin played in 10 NBA seasons and won the NBA scoring title on four occasions with the San Antonio Spurs.

"Iceman" was one of the greatest scorers in the history of the NBA and one of the best shooting guards of all time.

From 1977 to 1980, Gervin won three straight NBA scoring titles. In his first four NBA seasons, he averaged 28 points per game and made 53 percent of his shots.

His last NBA scoring title came in the 1981-82 NBA season.

Gervin averaged 32 points per game in that campaign and made 50 percent of his field goals.


#2 Wilt Chamberlain - 7 NBA scoring titles

Wilt Chamberlain established almost every NBA record during his glorious career.

Chamberlain entered the league in 1959 and led the NBA in scoring right away. In his first NBA season, Wilt won the NBA scoring title and was the first rookie to be named league MVP in NBA history.

In his following six campaigns, Chamberlain won the NBA scoring title each time. In his first seven seasons, Chamberlain averaged a whopping 39.6 points per game.

In that streak, Wilt averaged a record 50.4 points per game in the 1961-62 NBA season.

Chamberlain has the four-highest scoring seasons in NBA history.

Apart from his season averaging 50 points a game, Wilt averaged 44.8 points per game on another occasion.

Chamberlain retired from the NBA with an average of 30.1 points per game. He has the second-highest career average of points per game in NBA history.

Michael Jordan is arguably the greatest player in NBA history. Moreover, Jordan is easily the greatest scorer ever.

MJ entered the NBA in 1984. He averaged 28.2 points per game as a rookie, and made 51 percent of his field goals.

In his second full year in the league, Jordan won the NBA scoring title with an average of 37.1 points per game (the fifth-highest average in league history).

From 1987 to 1993, Jordan won seven consecutive NBA scoring titles. He averaged 33 points per game during that streak and made 52 percent of his shots.

After his first retirement, Jordan won the NBA scoring title three times between 1996 and 1998. In his 10 full seasons between 1987 and 1998, Jordan won the NBA scoring title each time.

He averaged 30.1 points per game in his career, the highest career average in NBA history, just ahead of Wilt Chamberlain.
