The Brooklyn Nets created a superteam in the 2020-21 NBA season but fell short of glory after losing the Eastern Conference semi-finals to the Milwaukee Bucks.

To remedy their defensive mishaps and lack of depth, they acquired four-time All-Star Paul Millsap and LaMarcus Aldridge, who have made seven All-Star appearances.

These acquisitions have created a Nets team that currently houses 44 All-Star selections. The Big 3 of Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving, and James Harden made up for 27 All-Star appearances, but with their new signings, they stand at 44.

It will be interesting to see how their 2021-22 NBA season unfolds as they are the early favorites to reach the NBA Finals from the East.

The Boston Celtics were vibrantly chasing another NBA championship in the 2010-11 season and opted to sign Shaquille O'Neal to help their cause. While Big Shaq remains a threat in the paint even to this day, the 38-year-old was past his prime.

Regardless, the Celtics added the 15-time All-Star to their roster to partner with Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce and Rajon Rondo. Unfortunately, it was more of the same as they failed to reach the NBA Finals, this time losing to the Miami Heat in the conference semi-finals.

#1 2021-22 LA Lakers - 60 NBA All-Star selections

The LA Lakers have had a busy 2021 NBA offseason, headlined by the acquisition of Russell Westbrook. They will head into the new season as one of the strongest teams ever, with 60 All-Star selections. This will be the first time that a team will have 60 All-Star selections in the league.

There is no standard to compare the Lakers to as no one is sure how having this many All-Star selections will pan out. It will boil down to every player keeping their egos in check and playing their positions for the betterment of the team.

Russell Westbrook and Rajon Rondo have always played on opposite sides and constantly jaw at each other during games. Now that both players will be playing on the same side following the Lakers' acquisition of Rondo, it will be exciting to see how both players handle themselves.

LeBron James has made All-Star appearances every year in his 18-year NBA career, except during his rookie season. He will play alongside Carmelo Anthony (10 All-Star appearances), Russell Westbrook (9), Anthony Davis (8), Dwight Howard (8), Rajon Rondo (4), Marc Gasol (3), and DeAndre Jordan (1).

The LA Lakers are the favorites to reach the NBA Finals from the West. If the Lakers and the Nets successfully make it to the finals, we will be treated to the most iconic NBA Finals series in league history.
