The Cleveland Cavaliers will be tested when they head to the United Center to take on the Chicago Bulls on Monday (Nov. 11). Cleveland is the last team to remain unbeaten in the 2024-25 NBA season so far, and a win against the Bulls will see them go 12-0. They are the fourth franchise to start 10-0 since the Philadelphia 76ers in the 2000-01 season. The last team to have a dream start was the Golden State Warriors during the 2015-16 season. They ended their regular stretch with an incredible 73-9 record before, losing to the LeBron James-led Cavs in the 2016 NBA Finals.
Their opponents, the rebuilding Bulls have played unpredictable basketball, but have shown signs of trending in the right direction. 10 games into the season, they have notched up impressive wins over solid sides in the Milwaukee Bucks, Orlando Magic, and the Memphis Grizzlies. They are a pacy team and have the necessary shooting firepower, but their defense has been their constant Achilles Heel.
When compared to the Cavaliers, the Bulls are a middling product. On paper, they are undoubtedly the weaker side despite the presence of Zach LaVine and Nikola Vucevic. The duo's good health and performances have been difference-makers to the otherwise work-in-progress Chicago unit, but to stun Cleveland and snap their 11-0 run, the Bulls will have to fire on all cylinders.
The good news for the Bulls is the momentum they have heading into the side. They pulled off a good-looking 125-113 win over the Atlanta Hawks last week. The Cavaliers also showed chinks in their armor when they edged out the Brooklyn Nets 105-100. Their third-quarter struggles have been covered up with some prolific scoring, but there are cracks on the surface.

Cleveland Cavaliers vs Chicago Bulls preview
Two dismal third-quarter outings against the Golden State Warriors and the Brooklyn Nets saw the teams come within striking distance to end the Cavaliers' unbeaten run. The offense-heavy side has also struggled with their rebounding. Their 41.4 rebounds per game puts them in 25th place in the league this season.
All of this is made up, courtesy of their No. 1 ranked offense led primarily by Donovan Mitchell, Darius Garland, Evan Mobley, and Jarrett Allen. Cleveland averages 11.7 points per contest making them one of the more lethal offensive sides this edition. They lead the NBA in FG% (52.8) and are sixth in draining 3s making 42.4 of their attempts from beyond the arc. Their other area of concern is that rather surprising 75.3% shooting from the free throw line.
The Bulls are a better rebounding team compared to their opponents. They are fifth in the league with 46.8 boards per game. They average 114.8 points per contest to take the 15th spot in scoring offense. Their defense is nearly bottom-ranked as they allow 120.3 points on average to take the 27th spot in the league. Zach LaVine has shown what he can do if healthy by averaging 22.7 points per game. Nikola Vucevic has shown his two-way game averaging Nikola Vucevic 21.7 points and 10.9 rebounds. Like the Cavaliers, they have shot poorly from the charity stripe as well, making 75.2% of their shots.
Cleveland Cavaliers vs Chicago Bulls predicted starting lineups
Barring any last-minute changes, the Cavaliers will likely field the same starters that have propped up wins.
Cleveland Cavaliers Injury Report (Nov. 11): Max Strus (ankle) and Emoni Bates (knee) are out.
The Bulls will probably start the five from the last game against the Hawks as they aim for consistency and their most formidable starting five.
Chicago Bulls Injury Report (Nov. 11): Lonzo Ball (wrist) is ruled out. LaVine (adductor) is probable.
Cleveland Cavaliers vs Chicago Bulls betting tips
Donovan Mitchell is listed -113/+110 on points ahead of the matchup. Jarrett Allen is also worth keeping an eye out for as the center is +100/-122 on points. For the Bulls, LaVine is -119/+100 on points and Ayo Dosunmu is -106/-110 on points.
Cleveland Cavaliers vs Chicago Bulls prediction
The Cavaliers are favorites to take this contest and extend their winning run. But a side with LaVine cannot be discounted. Will it be the UCLA star or Donovan Mitchell in the battle of shooters? Our bet is on the Cavaliers taming the Bulls for their 12th win on the bounce.
