DeMar DeRozan stats: How has Chicago Bulls player fared in 2022-23 NBA season?

DeMar DeRozan is having another fabulous season. Since joining the Chicago Bulls in the summer of 2021, the 6' 6"swingman has been one of the best scorers in the league.

The 2022-23 NBA season has been very successful for DeRozan so far. While the Bulls haven't secured a playoff spot yet, the 33-year-old star is on a roll. He has had several 40-point games and has helped the Bulls win a couple of tough games.

Considering that the Bulls will likely make the playoffs this season, it will be interesting to see how the 14-year NBA veteran performs.

DeMar DeRozan has missed only seven games this season. The Chicago Bulls haven't done a great job without him, losing five of seven games. In the games he has played, the Bulls have gone 34-33.

The six-time All-Star is averaging 25.0 points per game on 50.9% shooting. Unsurprisingly, the Bulls swingman has taken most of his shots from mid-range. His conversion rate on shots from 10-16 feet is 51.0%, making him one of the most efficient scorers from this range.

The Bulls star is far from being a deadly 3-point shooter. However, he has converted 34.2% of his long range shots this season. That's the second-best mark of his career, trailing only his first season with the Eastern Conference team.

DeMar DeRozan is shooting 86.9% from the charity stripe this year, which is his third-highest free throw percentage. He has also been very good at getting his teammates involved in action, with 5.1 assists per game, his fifth-highest career mark.

When it comes to defense, the three-time All-NBA guard is averaging 1.1 steals per game, the second-highest mark of his career. DeRozan is also blocking 0.5 blocks per game, tied for the highest average he has ever had.

While rebounding is not his priority, the 6' 6" veteran is averaging 4.7 rebounds per game this year, the fifth-highest mark of his successful playing career. The Bulls star has had five 40-point games in the 2022-23 campaign and has also recorded six double-doubles.

DeMar DeRozan's best game of the season came against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Mar. 17. He starred with a 49-point, 14-rebound double-double, leading the Bulls to an eight-point victory.
