Ja Morant has been involved in a lot of controversial situations over the last few months. The Memphis Grizzlies point guard is having another fantastic season, but his actions off the court have been questionable.

The 23-year-old superstar was recently accused of beating a teenage boy and pointing a gun at him. He was also involved in a postgame altercation with several members of the Indiana Pacers.

Morant's actions have tainted his reputation. However, he hasn't faced any consequences yet, despite a viral video of Adam Silver, which claims that the superstar guard has been suspended by the NBA. However, this is not true.

Morant might be charged with a crime if he is proven guilty. In the meantime, the Memphis Grizzlies and the NBA haven't done anything regarding the status of the superstar.

Contrary to popular belief, the two-time All-Star was not suspended, not by the NBA or by the Grizzlies. A viral video of Adam Silver making the rounds online is fake and was posted on a parody Twitter page.

The video has received more than 1.6 million views in less than 12 hours. Unfortunately, a lot of basketball fans did not realize that the video was fake, which is why they started believing that Ja Morant was really suspended.

The viral video shows the NBA commissioner announcing an indefinite suspension of Morant due to his "thuggish and gangster activities." However, the video is fake.

The video used was from Silver addressing basketball fans during the 2023 NBA All-Star break. The video editor simply changed the audio, making it seem like the commissioner was talking about Morant.

The league hasn't addressed the latest allegations against the Grizzlies star.

Ja Morant most likely won't be suspended

Despite all the controversy that he's been involved in lately, Ja Morant most likely won't be disciplined by the NBA. With 27.1 points and 8.2 assists per game, the 6-foot-3 guard is one of the best players in the league.

Morant is very athletic and fun to watch. His impressive performances have turned the Memphis Grizzlies into contenders in the West, and the league could lose a lot by suspending him.

But the unfortunate truth is that Morant is not a great role model. He's also walking on thin ice and will have to be careful going forward. If he continues to be problematic, the league could eventually suspend him for a few games.
