Tyler Herro is one of the best scorers in the NBA. Despite not being as flashy as some big-name players, the Miami Heat guard has consistently improved in his four years in the league.

While the Heat is struggling to get to the top of the Eastern Conference in the 2022-23 season, Herro is doing his best to keep the team above .500. On New Year's Eve, the 6-foot-5 guard hit a game-winning 3-pointer against the Utah Jazz, securing a big victory for Miami.

Herro's clutch shot sent NBA fans into a frenzy as many of them reacted to it. Considering that this is one of the biggest shots of Tyler's career, it's not surprising that many fans talked about it.

Tyler Herro's incredible shot to beat Utah Jazz

The Miami Heat extended Herro's contract last summer and will pay him $120 million over four years once the extension kicks in. Considering that the guard was a bench player at that point, many fans believed this was the wrong move.

Fortunately, the 22-year-old guard is proving all of his doubters wrong. After winning the Sixth Man of the Year award in the 2021-22 season, Herro became a starter and has been excellent so far.

This was Herro's third 3-pointer of the night and he finished the game with 29 points. Thanks to the clutch shot, the Miami Heat improved their record to 19-18 and are now in the seventh spot in the East.

Tyler Herro is no stranger to big shots. Since becoming a starter and getting the green light from Erik Spoelstra, the 6-foot-5 guard has become an even deadlier scorer.

Unfortunately, despite his amazing skills, the four-year NBA veteran still doesn't get enough credit. He is still one of the most-hated players in the league, which is something a lot of fans pointed out after his game-winner.

One Reddit user admitted that they only watch Miami Heat games because of the shooting guard. Considering how good he has been this season, it's no surprise.

The Heat did not need a 3-pointer to win the game, yet Herro still hit it. One fan pointed out how this must have been the hardest possible shot in the situation.

Other fans added that the former Sixth Man of the Year loves taking difficult shots and making them.

Several fans even compared Tyler Herro to Dwyane Wade. Back in 2009, the legendary shooting guard hit a running 3-pointer at the buzzer to beat the Chicago Bulls, which was very similar to Herro's New Year's Eve shot.

In the 2022-23 season, Herro is averaging career highs in every major statistical category, from points to blocks. He's also been one of the most reliable clutch players in the league and has stepped up in the absence of other stars.
