Houston Rockets fans feared the worst when James Harden when he went down after a collision with Quincy Pondexter when they faced the Memphis Grizzlies in a pre-season game on Friday.

The Rockets guard was hit on the knee when Pondexter tried to block his shot. They bumped knees and Harden fell on to the floor in a heap and did not get up for a while.

When he did get back on to his feet, Harden made the resulting free throw before heading straight for the locker room. He scored six points and grabbed four rebounds in less than eight minutes on the court.

The Rockets won the game 92-73 and after the match, Rockets coach Kevin McHale said, “He iced it, and stuff, and we’ll see how he feels.” He also mentioned that he did not think it was a serious injury.

As of now, he has been listed as day-to-day and will be evaluated today.
