Klay Thompson has been an integral part of the Golden State Warriors' dynasty. Thompson is now in his 12th season with the franchise. However, he missed two of those seasons due to injuries.

Throughout his career, Thompson has averaged 19.5 points per game, 3.5 rebounds per game, 2.3 assists per game, 0.9 steals per game, and 0.5 blocks per game. The four-time NBA champion has shot 45.5% from the field, 41.5% from three-point range, and 85.0% from the free-throw line.

Thompson is one of just 13 players in NBA history to make at least 2000 three-pointers, as he has made 2007 and counting in his career. His 41.5% from behind the arc trails only teammate Steph Curry and Kyle Korver among players with at least 2000 made triples.

Additionally, the five-time All-Star is one of just four players in NBA history to average at least 3.0 three-pointers made per game. Curry is the only player in the group who shoots a higher percentage from behind the arc than Thompson.

Thompson's combination of elite volume and efficiency places him among the greatest three-point shooters of all-time. While he is generally regarded as one of the top-five shooters of all-time, playing with Curry, who is by far the greatest shooter in league history, has made Thompson's accomplishments underappreciated.

The two-time NBA MVP has averaged 24.5 points per game, 4.7 rebounds per game, 6.5 assists per game, 1.6 steals per game, and 0.2 blocks per game. Curry has shot 47.4% from the field, 42.8% from three-point range and 90.9% from the free-throw line.

Curry holds the record for most three-pointers made in a career, as he has knocked down 3248 shots and counting from behind the arc. He has also made the most triples per contest, as he has averaged 3.8 three-pointers made per game. The Golden State Warriors star has changed the way that offense is played with his shooting ability.

Expectations for Klay Thompson's 2023-24 NBA Season

After being unable to fulfill the championship dream in the 2022-23 NBA Season, the window for the Golden State Warriors core group is yet another season closer to the end.

Klay Thompson had a pretty solid season statistically, averaging 21.9 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 2.4 assists, on 43.6% shooting from the field and 41.2% shooting from behind the 3-point arc.

Despite the impressive numbers, it was still a relatively down season for the 5xAll-Star. Klay Thompson is expected to return to his pre-injury levels of production in the upcoming 2023-24 NBA Season.
