The All-Star Game MVP Award and the Hall of Fame -
The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame is given to the individual who has excelled in basketball like the legendary coaches, Players, officials, and other significant participants in the game. It retains Dr. James Naismith's name because he started the sport in 1891. A player must be completely retired for three years in order to be eligible to go on the ballot for the Hall of Fame.
Every Player who has won the NBA MVP in a regular season is eligible for receiving the Hall of Fame.
Whether the player will be in the Hall of Fame or not depends on several factors including the number of All Star Appearances. Generally, it is seen that players who have one or two Exceptional NBA Regular seasons have very low chances to be selected for an NBA Hall of Fame. A player is nearly guaranteed to join the Hall of Fame if they were named to the all-star team 10 or more times throughout their career. Additionally, There hasn't been a single MVP who hasn't been admitted into the Hall of Fame. And Yes it is very difficult to be that consistent and appear in continuous NBA All-Star.
There is a strong correlation between winning championships and induction into the Hall of Fame. If a player has won several championships(more than 2) it is very probable that he will be a Hall of Fame but there are about 74 players also who have won NBA championships but were not a Hall of Fame. Nevertheless, there is surely a strong connection between winning championships and being admitted into the Hall of Fame.
