The Orlando Magic, who are well-known supporters of multi-cultural celebrations, came back for their annual India Day celebrations with Indian American Chamber of Commerce (IACC) to showcase Indian culture through dance, cuisine and a variety of other unique cultural activities. The celebrations were organized to honor the diverse fan base that has supported the team over the years.

Orlando Magic and the Indian American Chamber of Commerce celebrated Indian culture with pre-game festivities when Brooklyn Nets visited Orlando. The festivities were across Fan Fest that included some traditional music, cultural dances and Indian cuisine at half-time during the game against Brooklyn Nets.

The Orlando Magic Dancers grooved to some top Bollywood numbers like Choghada Tara, Kamariya and Rangtaari from the movie Loveyatri. This was followed by another routine from members of the Bollywood Dance Academy.

It was a night to remember for the Magic fans as the home team got the better of Nets 102-89 thanks to their power-forward Nikola Vucevic's 24-point effort, especially in the fourth quarter where he scored 12 of his 24 points. This was Vucevic's 36th double-double of the season as he finished with 12 rebounds.

Vucevic's efforts were complemented by Evan Fournier (16 points), Aaron Gordon (15 points) and D.J. Augustin (12 points and eight assists) to give their side 22nd win of the season.

In 2017, Bollywood actor Shilpa Shetty was present as the Orlando Magic celebrated the annual India Day festivities with the team’s fans. The team presented a personalized Orlando Magic jersey to the Bollywood star as a part of the celebrations.

Here are some glimpses of the colorful India Day 2019 celebrations.
