LeBron James' 2009-10 season with the Cleveland Cavaliers was the last of his first stint with the franchise. He made sure he ended it on a high note, amassing astonishing numbers throughout the campaign. He averaged 29.7 points, 7.3 rebounds, 8.6 assists, 1.6 steals and a block per game.

James ended the regular season with a PER of 31.1, the highest among all players in the NBA. Dwyane Wade was second with a rating of 28.

LeBron James and the Miami Heat set the bar high for themselves after they won the NBA title in the 2011-12 season. They were favorites heading into the 2012-13 season to win the title again. James' performance at a high level was crucial to the team's hopes of going back-to-back.

He averaged 26.8 points, eight rebounds and 7.3 assists per game that campaign to lead his team to the playoffs. He shot 56.5% from the field, including a career-high 40.7% from the three-point line. The Heat eventually made the finals and beat the OKC Thunder in five games.

LeBron James had a PER of 31.6 that season, the most for any player in that campaign. He won his fourth and last MVP award that year. He tied Michael Jordan as the only player to have four seasons with a PER of 30 or more.

It took LeBron James just five seasons since his debut to amass a PER of 30 or more in an NBA season. He averaged 28.4 points, 7.2 assists, 7.6 rebounds, 1.7 steals and 1.1 blocks per game during the 2008-09 season to achieve a career-high PER of 31.7.

The Cavs finished as the number one seed in the East that season, with a staggering 66-16 win/loss record. James won his first MVP award that season.

James was largely responsible for leading the Cavs to the playoffs in five of the seven seasons he played with them in his first stint there. The team's over-reliance on him brought the best in him as he proceeded to break a plethora of records and dominate opponents single-handedly.
