#3 Pau Gasol (Spain) - 640 points

Legendary Spanish player and future Hall-of-Famer, Pau Gasol, appeared in his fifth Olympics in 2021. He is in third spot on the all-time scoring list at the quadrennial Games.

Gasol, a legend of the game and a star in the NBA, scored 26 points in the Tokyo Olympics to reach 640 career points at the event. With Spain, Gasol grabbed three Olympic medals - silver in 2008 and 2012 and bronze in 2016.

Gasol also won a gold medal with Spain in the 2006 FIBA World Cup. That achievement, given the dominance of the US team in international basketball, is comparable to his two NBA championships with the LA Lakers.


#2 Andrew Gaze (Australia) - 789 points

Though his NBA career was brief, Andrew Gaze is a basketball legend. He was a member of the 1999 NBA champions San Antonio Spurs, though he did not play in the playoffs. However, his legendary status comes from his international displays with the Boomers.

Gaze has appeared in five Olympics with Australia, and is the second-leading scorer at the event with 789 career points. He also has the third-most points scored in the FIBA World Cup, behind Oscar Schmidt and Luis Scola.


#1 Oscar Schmidt (Brazil) - 1093 points

Arguably the greatest scorer never to have played in the NBA, Brazilian legend Oscar Schmidt is the all-time scoring leader in basketball at the Olympics, scoring an astounding tally of 1,093 points.

Schmidt led Brazil to a bronze medal in the FIBA World Cup, but the team did not win any Olympic medal in men's basketball during Schmidt's playing days. Nevertheless, he averaged 28.8 points in 38 games at the Olympics.

Oscar is also the all-time scoring leader in the FIBA World Cup, with 906 points (26.7 per game).

He also holds the single-game record of points at the Olympics, with 55. He scored over 49,000 points in his 29-year basketball career, which includes appearances for Brazil as well as pro clubs.

Moreover, Oscar is a member of the Naismith Memorial Hall of Fame as well as the FIBA Hall of Fame.
