The Los Angeles Lakers wanted to create a big three this summer and despite missing out on Kawhi Leonard, the franchise are still believed to be keen on adding another star. Some sources have speculated that a player such as Bradley Beal could emerge as a target, although a path to a deal is currently blocked.

Much of the Lakers roster cannot be traded until the season gets underway, while the front office is also dedicated to giving Kyle Kuzma the chance to prove himself as the team's third offensive option.

Ultimately, the Lakers may pursue a blockbuster trade as the 2019-20 season progress, however, there is virtually no chance that the team will go after someone such as Kevin Love or Beal ahead of the new season.
