The Dallas Mavericks welcome the Memphis Grizzlies at the American Airlines Center on Tuesday for the final group game of the 2024 Emirates NBA Cup. The Mavericks and Grizzlies still have a chance to advance to the next round, but they will need some help from other teams.
According to Yahoo! Sports, if the Mavericks win, they can make it to the knockout round if the OKC Thunder and Portland Trail Blazers lose. They still need to overcome any tiebreaker situations, so they have to win as much as possible to advance.
Meanwhile, the Grizzlies need a win and for the Thunder, Blazers and Denver Nuggets to lose. If the Thunder wins, they have to beat the Mavericks by at least 24 points in regulation. Memphis and Dallas split last season's series despite the Grizzlies' injury woes all year long.
