Lonzo Ball was selected by the Los Angeles Lakers with the second overall pick in the 2017 NBA draft. In his rookie season, he has under-performed considering the fact that he was the second overall draft pick and averaged 10.2 points, 6.9 rebounds and 7.2 and 1.7 steals per game on poor 36.0 % shooting.

Ball who is currently in his second season in the NBA is having another not-so-great year as his stats took a dip in all five categories. Playing alongside LeBron James, everyone expected Ball to perform better but he has not shown any kind of improvement so far this season.

With LeBron James turning 34 tomorrow, the Lakers cannot keep waiting for Ball to get better as no one knows how many more years LeBron can keep it going in the league. Although multiple sources have mentioned that Magic Johnson is not interested to part with Lonzo Ball and young Lakers core, for them to get any superstars to this team, they might have to definitely include Lonzo Ball in the package.
