#3 - LeBron James, Small Forward

LA Lakers talisman and starting small forward LeBron James' NBA2K22 rating is already out, and he will be a 96-rated player in the game. He is one of a select few players to be given the highest rating in NBA2K22. The other 96-rated players are Kevin Durant, 2021 NBA champion Giannis Antetokounmpo and Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry.

James is expected to end the game as a 97-rated player (at least), considering the fact that he is likely to have a strong season with the LA Lakers. He ended NBA2K21 as a 97 rated player as well. Hence, it is natural to assume that he will achieve the same rating by the end of the 2021-22 season.

#4 - Anthony Davis, Power Forward

LA Lakers' star power forward Anthony Davis is expected to be a 94-rated player on NBA2K22. He ended the previous installment of the game as a 93-rated player, with his archetype being a 2-way mid-range finisher.

Davis had a rather disappointing 2021 playoff campaign with the LA Lakers due to an injury but is still expected to get a rating bump because of his star status.

Davis' core assets in the game are his defending, inside scoring and athleticism, which will be similar in NBA2K21. However, as he aged one more year, his potential might drop from 96 this year.

#5 - Marc Gasol, Center

Marc Gasol is expected to start at the center position for the LA Lakers in the 2021/22 season, and our prediction is that he will be a 75-rated player on NBA2K22.

Gasol started and ended the NBA2K21 game as a 75-rated player, and we don't see a reason why there will be a change in his rating.

Gasol is set to see a lot of minutes in the center position this year. He will be sharing his time on the court with Anthony Davis and Dwight Howard, who the LA Lakers got back this summer.
