NBA 2K23’s free Holiday Event has given gamers a chance to acquire a range of highly-rated featured cards for free.

Every day from Dec. 12 to 30, NBA 2K23 has released a new featured player with an accompanying challenge that gamers can complete. One of the challenges released is related to the 87-rated Jaylen Brown, who has been in immense form for the Boston Celtics this season.

Brown has averaged 27 points, 3.4 assists and 7.2 rebounds and alongside Jayson Tatum has been lighting up the league. The following article looks at everything NBA 2K23 gamers need to know in order to acquire the Ruby version of Jaylen Brown.

In itself, the 87-rated card was the first reward to be released as part of the Holiday event set. NBA 2K23 has been deliberate in introducing a range of new challenges regularly. Some of these challenges require gamers to use players of a certain variety. The Ruby challenges have been useful for gamers and have given access to multiple pink diamonds in the game thus far.

The challenge itself is straightforward to complete in NBA 2K23, and requires gamers to play a single match in the MyTeam mode. Doing this will unlock the Ruby card, which can then be used in various alternate squads that different challenges force gamers to make.

Gamers don't even need to choose a specific player while playing the said match. Completing the challenge is also of paramount importance if gamers plan to access the free Galaxy Opal Bam Adebayo card, which will be released this Friday.

The card will only be available for a limited time for gamers who have completed the entire Holiday Event set. The event itself is available until the end of season 3, giving gamers a long time to complete the accompanying challenges. The franchise has not released too many free Galaxy Opal cards that have the highest possible 97 rating. Currently, the Tis the Season pack, which includes the Galaxy Opal Michael Jordan, can be accessed by gamers.

Free-to-play gamers can also complete the three-part challenge that gives them access to a free Tis the Season pack. Apart from Jordan, pink diamond versions of both Kobe Bryant and LeBron James are also part of the pack. Of course, as far as the Galaxy Opal Bam Adebayo is concerned, a lack of free featured centers makes the Miami Heat player a must-have in the game.
