Season 6 of NBA 2K23 went live earlier on April 7, bringing plenty of new content for fans to enjoy. Players can now play different game modes to earn rewards, including unique cards, cosmetics, and more. Publisher 2K has ensured the community is well rewarded regardless of which modes they play.

There’s plenty of new content to explore, and both MyTeam and MyCareer have new prizes. Players can earn them gradually by grinding throughout the sixth season.

NBA 2K23 Season 6 also brings some essential gameplay tweaks, as stated in the official patch notes. Let’s find out exactly what awaits players as part of the new season and which are the best rewards.

Most of the new content in Season 6 is split between the MyTeam and MyCareer modes. The former witnesses the return of Hero cards, with a 94-rated Shaquille O’Neal option available for free.

The best element of the Hero cards is their Evolutionary nature – they start at one rarity and evolve to another. There is plenty to earn, including the 99-rated Dark Matter Hakeem Olawujon at the 40th tier. These items can then be used to unlock more Fire, Holographic, and Unicorn cards.

NBA 2K23 is also celebrating the contributions of legendary female basketball player Sue Bird. Players can obtain her Ruby-tiered Head Coach card, which unlocks special challenges.

Here are the weekly goal rewards that players can receive:

  • Arike Ogunbowale Heroine Edition Jersey
  • Team Accelerator, Team Resilience, and Team Extender Boosts
  • Wings Rebel Shorts
  • Nike Kobe V

Players will also encounter some mighty names while completing the Sue Bird questline, like LeBron James, Stephen Curry, and Shaq himself. Defeating these champions will unlock more Diamond Shoe and Hall of Fame Badge rewards.

A new Season 6 theme will welcome players to the NBA 2K23 career mode. Participants can unlock different cosmetics and more over the next six weeks. For starters, a new package of Core Badge patterns is available.

These patterns will allow next-gen users to create combinations best for their given playstyles. It will take some time for NBA 2K23 players to get the new package, which is available at Level 39.

Level 40 brings a mini jet glider for next-gen users and a Goat Mascot for the current-gen. More apparel is available throughout the reward path for players as they unlock them by grinding out Season 6.

There’s plenty in store for everyone to unlock as they go through all the events. As the season continues, more promos, cards, and rewards will be added.
