MVP season with the Houston Rockets: (1993-94)

Hakeem Olajuwon spent the entire career, excluding his final season, with the Houston Rockets. He is widely acclaimed as one of the greatest centers to ever play the game of basketball and led the Rockets to back-to-back NBA championships (1994-95). He was named the Finals MVP on these occasions.

He won the MVP trophy once in his career and that was during the season when he led the Rockets to the title for the first (1993-94) of their back-to-back titles. He averaged 27.3 points, 11.9 rebounds, 3.6 assists, 1.6 steals and 3.7 blocks per game and stuffed the stat sheet over the entire season.

The 12-time All-Star became the second Houston Rockets player to ever win the MVP trophy donning the franchise's jersey. The franchise also retired his jersey number 34 and 'The Dream' was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2008.
