Rasual Butler was selected by the Miami Heat with the 53rd overall pick in the 2002 NBA draft. He was a reliable threat from outside with his shooting and has played on several teams in the NBA.

Butler signed a contract with the Toronto Raptors in December 2011 and spent just above three months with the franchise before he got waived by them. However, he had one of the weirdest stat lines in the history of basketball while with the Raptors.

In one of the games against the Lakers, Butler checked in to inbound the ball, with 4:2 seconds remaining and Raptors down by one. This was the first time in the game that Butler checked in but got a 5-second violation on the inbound. He was taken out after this and since the clock does not start until the clock gets inbounded, he finished the game with 0 minutes of action and 1 turnover.
