When the Utah Jazz are firing on all cylinders, it's because of star big man Rudy Gobert. But Utah lost five of its previous six games, including a 1-4 stretch when Gobert was sidelined while in the league's health and safety protocols. He has returned for Utah's past two games.

The defensive anchor is always a force all over the court, as Gobert is currently averaging 15.7 points and 15.2 rebounds per game. Gobert returned from the protocols to put up an impressive 18-point, 19-rebound performance. He continues to be a serious contender for the Defensive Player of the Year award.

The Golden State Warriors have gone 3-5 in their past eight games, and losing key defensive and emotional leader Draymond Green to an injury is a big reason for the rough patch. When Golden State is firing on all cylinders, it's been due to the outstanding two-way play of the veteran forward.

Green is one of the NBA's top defensive players, and his play always underscores any success for the Warriors. Green has been sidelined recently with a back injury/calf soreness, and he is expected to miss at least two more weeks. The Warriors will anxiously await the return of their defensive leader. Green has averaged 7.9 points, 7.6 rebounds and 7.4 assists per game while shooting 53.7%.
