Despite winning the 2019-20 NBA championship, the LA Lakers are a little too light in terms of its roster depth. With trade rumors suggesting that JaVale McGee and Dwight Howard could leave the franchise in the 2020 NBA free agency, the Lakers could be in dire need of a big man.
In this regard, Serge Ibaka could be their savior. Not only does he have all the attributes of a big man that the team needs in offense, he is also an excellent shooter and can space the floor well. Additionally, Ibaka could help the LA Lakers' outside defense too, as he has improved incredibly as a wing defender and is now capable of guarding all five positions.
With the 2020-21 NBA season likely to provide the LA Lakers a very stern test of their title credentials, the franchise would be best served by acquiring the services of Serge Ibaka this off-season.
