After reaching the 2019 Western Conference Finals, the Portland Trail Blazers are hoping to be contenders once again next season. The team has already made several additions over the past month and ESPN is reporting that Pau Gasol is set to head to Portland on a one-year deal:

Free agent Pau Gasol has agreed to a one-year, $2.6 million deal with the Portland Trail Blazers, league sources told ESPN on Wednesday. Gasol will join a center rotation that includes Hassan Whiteside, Zach Collins and Jusuf Nurkic.

Gasol played last season for the San Antonio Spurs and the Milwaukee Bucks. The veteran hoped to play a big role in the Bucks' postseason run, but was kept out by a foot injury. Over his 18 season NBA career, Gasol has averaged 17.0 points and 9.2 rebounds per game.
