While a few notable veteran free agents remain available, Carmelo Anthony’s future continues to attract the most buzz. The former Knicks superstar has not played since being told to find a new team by the Houston Rockets back in November, and despite his lengthy absence, Anthony has stated his intention to take any role to further his career.

While the 35-year-old has yet to attract any firm interest this summer, Richard Jefferson told ESPN’S Get Up that Anthony will eventually get his opportunity to return:

I believe he will be given another opportunity. You never know the injuries that can happen or the trade deadline, playoffs. I think he will get an opportunity.

During an illustrious career, Anthony has been named as an All-Star on ten occasions but has never played in an NBA Finals.
