#3 Kevin Love
Following the departure of LeBron James last summer, the Cleveland Cavaliers attempted to stay in contention by penning Kevin Love to a new four-year, $120 million extension. However, the Cavs soon hit the reset button following a poor start to post-LeBron life, and Love is now a bad fit for the franchise.
Love's expensive new contract will only kick into gear this season, and his presence delays the franchise's ongoing rebuild. Meanwhile, at 31, Love is unlikely to want to spend his remaining prime years with a franchise that won't be contending for the playoffs anytime soon.
While Love's deal is overpriced, the likes of the Miami Heat and the Minnesota Timberwolves could complete a deal by sending back expiring deals. Ultimately, Love is still a player that can help an NBA team compete, and he is the most likely star to be traded ahead of the new season.
