After enjoying the best season of his career to date with the Los Angeles Clippers last year, Danilo Gallinari was traded to the Oklahoma City Thunder as part of the blockbuster deal for Paul George.

However, through the early weeks of the season, Gallinari has further underlined his status as one of the NBA's best three-point shooters, and it appears unlikely that he will still be with the Thunder in February.

After shooting 43.3% from three-point range during his final year with the Clippers, Gallinari has managed to increase his accuracy to 47.5% over his first nine appearances with the Thunder. The Italian is also averaging a career-high 6.8 attempts per game, and his tally of 29 three-point field goals made is the 5th most in the NBA so far this season.

#1 Marcus Morris (shooting 48% from three-point range)

Throughout his eight-year career in the NBA, Marcus Morris has never shot more than 39% from three-point range over the course of a season. However, the 30-year-old connected with 45% of his three attempts for the Boston Celtics during the 2019 playoffs, and he has taken that shooting form into the new season with the New York Knicks.

Over nine appearances for his new team, Morris is averaging a career-high 5.6 three-point attempts per contest and has connected with 24 of his 50 attempts.

This means that the veteran is not only shooting a career-high from deep but also leads the NBA in accuracy for players that have attempted at least 50 three-pointers. Admittedly, Morris is unlikely to hold this position for long, although the Philadelphia native should be applauded for working hard to improve his perimeter shot.
