#4 Billy Donovan - Oklahoma City Thunder

Billy Donovan has received much criticism for his inability to win a playoff series during Russell Westbrook's final three years with the Oklahoma City Thunder, although his job appears to be safe for as long as general manager Sam Presti remains with the organisation.

However, Presti has been linked to the GM role at the New York Knicks, and recent reports have suggested that the Thunder wouldn't stand in Presti's way if he was to push for a move to NY.

With less than a year remaining on his existing contract, Donovan's long-term future with the Thunder is already doubtful and should Presti depart the team, the front office may react by finally relieving Donovan of his position.

#3 Alvin Gentry - New Orleans Pelicans

Alvin Gentry joined the Pelicans back in 2015 after serving as associate head coach with the Golden State Warriors, although New Orleans have made just one trip to the playoffs during his four years at the helm.

Despite this, the organisation believed the 65-year-old could transform the team into contenders following the offseason additions of Zion Williamson, J.J. Redick, Lonzo Ball and Brandon Ingram. However, Williamson has yet to make his debut due to injury, and the Pelicans are already well out of playoff contention with a 6-21 record.

Sunday night's loss to the Orlando Magic means they have now lost a franchise-record 12 successive games, and there was a great amount of frustration in the stands at the Smoothie King Center. While Gentry has been unfortunate with injuries, this is not the season that the front office envisioned and they may look towards a younger coach in the coming weeks.
