LA Clippers' superstar Kawhi Leonard is back after missing last season and is ready to go against local rivals the LA Lakers on Oct. 21. "The Klaw's" return definitely elevates the expectations of the team.

The Clippers have one of the deepest rosters in the league, but Leonard being one of the best two players, is a boost for anyone.

On how he is feeling for the new season, Leonard told Clippers writer Tomer Azarly:

“Really haven't been no flare-ups or setbacks, so I feel good."

Kawhi Leonard is confident that he is going in the right direction. With Paul George also back healthy, it should take some pressure off Kawhi and allow him to rest when needed.

With Kawhi Leonard and Paul George both available, many see the Clippers as the favorites to come out of the West. Both contribute significantly on both ends of the floor and can slow down their opposition's best scorers.

The return of Kawhi Leonard and the Clippers' roster this season

Kawhi Leonard is going to be key for the Clippers this season. As a two-time Finals MVP, many see him as the difference maker on the team. In his last season for the Clippers in 2020-21, Leonard averaged 24.8 points, 6.5 rebounds, 5.2 assists and 1.6 steals per game.

The Clippers also made of the biggest moves this offseason by signing John Wall. Wall is five-time All-Star and in his last season with the Houston Rockets, he averaged 20.6 points and 6.9 assists per game.

Wall should take some pressure off Leonard and Georg and is someone who can keep the offense going when neither of the star forwards are on the floor. With Tyronn Lue as the coach, Wall will be able to get some insight from someone who has won at the highest level.

With a supporting cast of Marcus Morris, Terance Mann and Reggie Jackson, it could be one of the most important seasons in Clippers' history.
