Damian Lillard suffered an injury scare late in the first quarter of Game 3 of the first-round series between the Milwaukee Bucks and the Indiana Pacers. Lillard appeared to tweak his left knee after a play involving Pascal Siakam, but it seems like it's a left Achilles issue for the All-Star guard.

In his postgame press conference, Bucks coach Doc Rivers provided an injury update on Lillard. Rivers explained that the superstar guard told him that he wouldn't be a factor in overtime because of the injury:

"I think it's his Achilles again, so we'll see," Rivers said.

He added:

"Honestly, Dame was really struggling. In the overtime, he literally said, 'I'll be the decoy. I just can't go as far as explosion.' So I thought Dame just being out there was huge for us."

Damian Lillard suffered the apparent injury with around two minutes left in the first quarter. He drove to the basket and made a layup over Pascal Siakam, who accidentally stepped on the Milwaukee Bucks guard's foot after a block attempt.

The eight-time All-Star immediately grabbed his left knee and was on the floor in pain. He limped back to the bench and was taken to the locker room to be examined by the Bucks' medical team.

Lillard returned to the floor but struggled for the rest of the first half, going 2-for-10 and scoring just nine points. He was much better in the second half with 17 points, but the injury was too much and factored into his ineffectiveness in overtime in the Bucks' 121-118 loss to the Indiana Pacers.

The Milwaukee Bucks were riddled with injuries heading into their first-round series matchup against the Indiana Pacers. The Bucks were expected to be without Giannis Antetokounmpo due to a calf strain suffered on the final week of the regular season.

Damian Lillard was also dealing with an adductor injury during the final stretch of the campaign. He was even on the team's injury report for Game 1 before getting cleared to play before tip-off. He was fantastic in that game as the Bucks took a 1-0 lead over the Pacers.

Lillard has been great for Milwaukee in the absence of "The Greek Freak." He's averaging 32.3 points, 3.7 rebounds, 5.3 assists and 1.3 steals in three games, shooting 41.5% from the field, 44.4% from beyond the arc and 96.4% from the charity stripe.

After the overtime loss on Friday, the Bucks are now down 2-1 heading into Game 4, which will still be Indianapolis. Milwaukee will need Lillard to be healthy if they want to prolong the series enough for Antetokounmpo to regain full health.
