Knicks supporters will immediately see how their players fare versus the team that is considered by many to be the favorite to repeat.
Three nights later, the New York Knicks get their home opener against the Indiana Pacers. To get inside Madison Square Garden to catch the action, basketball fans have to shell out $264 for the cheapest seat. Per TickPick, the team's game against the Washington Wizards on Nov. 18 is the least expensive in the season. Fans can watch it for $149.

New York Knicks fans aren’t new to high ticket prices to cheer for their team at Madison Square Garden. Last season, the most affordable MSG seat cost $216. In comparison, Crypto.com Arena charged $179 for its cheapest seat in a handful of LA Lakers games. Getting inside Chase Center for Golden State Warriors home games cost $171, the venue’s most affordable price.
New York Knicks tickets will go up in the playoffs
If healthy, the New York Knicks are likely to make another deep run in the playoffs. The team’s fans will have to shell out more to watch these games.
In the Eastern Conference finals against the Indiana Pacers last season, getting in cost $343 in Game 1. Two nights later, it increased to $363. Meanwhile, Indiana’s cheapest seat was at $78 in Game 3. Game 7 at MSG versus the Pacers set fans back $467, an amount many likely complained about after the Knicks lost, 130-109.
The uptick in ticket prices will inevitably come once the playoff starts. New York Knicks fans are expected to spend at least $350 to watch their team in the playoffs this season.
