Druski explains picking LeBron James over Michael Jordan to Shannon Sharpe: “Maybe I’m judging the book by its cover”

The debate about the greatest player of all-time is undending, and LeBron James and Michael Jordan have both been consistent pieces of the argument. American internet personality Druski shared why he has so much love for James but also explained why he didn't choose Jordan as the greatest player ever.

During an interview with Shannon Sharpe, Durski had a chance to share his take on which player he likes better. The internet sensation doubled down on discussing his favorite player's interactions off the court, making his reasoning valid.

"I'm big on LeBron. I like the way he got his whole career going and the way he's just a social person. He's not like Jordan and doesn't like people and staying away from, the black people and stuff. No shade."

"It's one of those things where people wanted to love him, and I think especially our people, because we buy all his stuff. Everything. Maybe I'm judging a book by its cover, I don't know."

Druski is correct in his point about LeBron being more approachable for fans. Throughout his career, he's often seen entertaining the masses by giving out autographs or taking pictures with fans, specifically the younger generation. But whether you like James or Jordan, both are great in their own right.

After the LA Lakers' bout against the Philadelphia 76ers, LeBron James came close to breaking the scoring record that's currently being held by Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. James is only 398 points away, entering the 38,000-mark after scoring 35 points against the Sixers on Sunday.

The 18-time All-Star is only the second player to reach 38,000 points in NBA history. With that, he's slowly climbing up the ranks of being the greatest player of all time. Additionally, the former top pick is on his way to making his 19th straight All-Star appearance, as he's leading the All-Star votes.

James is poised to have a historic season, but one thing that could be held against him is his team's current state. The Lakers haven't been an effective ball club this season. They're currently 19-24, making them the third-worst team in the Western Conference.

With injuries to Anthony Davis and a lackluster roster assembled by Rob Pelinka, Los Angeles has once again been underachieving. This is the second straight season they've had a disappointing campaign. At least they have LeBron's achievements to make them one of the most watchable teams in the league, but that's scant consolation.
